JESTER EQUINE OPEN Show

Hello and welcome to JesterEquines’ third horse show since the founding of this breed. We have a few ideas and a few interesting ideas that we are sure you and your Jester Equine will enjoy!
Any REGISTERED JesterEquines horse may enter in. The horse MUST HAVE Jester blood.
So, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty then, shall we, starting with the rules:

Rules and Restrictions:

:bulletred:  ONLY Registered Jester Equines my take part in this show.
:bulletorange: Crossbred Jesters are accepted into classes.
:bulletyellow: Jesters must be at least three years of age to enter riding classes. Equines of any age are allowed to take part in Halter, Liberty or in hand classes. If they desire to take part in any other class, it must be IN HAND and not UNDER SADDLE.
:bulletgreen: Inspection images are NOT required for the show, but will be worth extra points in the over all score. A premade lineart is offered by Roma-Roses-Ranch, though drawing your own will be worth extra points.
:bulletblue: Equipment (I.e. Saddles, bridles, ect) must be suiting for the class that you are entering and legal in most show societies. This being said, no harsh bits, or other tack, will be permitted.  Jester Equine tack may be used, but is not required.
:bulletpurple: Extra images such as your horse arriving at the show, being groomed at the trailer, or training for the show will award you extra points for the over all score and will be considered in case of ties. No points will be taken away if these aren’t created, but they offer the opportunity to gain an advantage. Sort of like extra credit.
:bulletblue: No free use linearts will be permitted to be used for any class entered unless they are commissioned for you directly. All images may be drawn by you, commissioned lines, or traced.
:bulletgreen: Riders are not required for any in hand images, but are required for those ridden classes. The rider’s faces and details will not be judged other than their attire. You don’t have to picture the full body of the rider.
:bulletyellow: Registration is required for any class that you wish to participate in. Any class may be dropped at any point in time. Late registrations will not be accepted.
:bulletorange: Entries for classes are NOT due by registration, but will be by the show deadline. NO late entries will be permitted.
:bulletred: When you Register, you will be given a number that MUST be included somewhere on your image. Failure to do so will equal points lost.

Inspection:

Inspection Image - USE ONLY FOR SHOW by Roma-Roses-Ranch
Inspection images are not REQUIRED for your horse to be allowed to show in any classes, but will be taken into consideration when it comes to ties and when it comes to a GRAND Champion. The inspection image is simple, and may be only a head shot with a bridle or halter on. The horse MUST have a tag on this that states their number. Each horse will be given a number upon registering and that number MUST be on the bridle tag for this and for every class that horse enters. A lineart for inspection is being offered by Roma-Roses-Ranch, though drawing your own will win you extra points in the end. Points will not be taken away if you choose not to draw your own. Free Linearts MAY NOT be used for, other than the one provided by Roma-Roses-Ranch.

Classes:

Images may be full, or partial. Images will the full horse will be awarded more points than just head shots. For riding classes and driving, riders are required in the image. Points WILL be deducted otherwise. In hand classes such as Liberty or Halter don’t require a handler to be pictured and no points will be awarded if there is or is not.

Halter: - Halter is just as the title says. A typical halter shot is a horse in a set up position. For each breed, this is different. Stock horses are typically show square, while Arabians and show horse breeds are show stretched. If you are wondering how this is shown for your breed, feel free to contact the founder of the breed given. For Jesters, your horse should be in an Arabian stance.

Liberty: - Liberty is a class where the horse more or less shows itself. Often pictured with a running horse, the object of this class is to show the overall beauty and grace of the equine race. The horse with the most points at the end will win the class. No tack is permitted on the horse.

Musical Dressage: - Set to music, a horse is required to do the steps to a normal dressage test, but in any order they choose. Many people will take this and often conform it to the music and how it changes, often matching up movements with the music that plays. This is judged on how well the artist shows the dressage work along with the music that they have chosen. They may include a song via a link along with what part the song is at where the image is at. Sort of like a still shot in the middle of the show!

Pleasure: This includes Western, English as well as driving. Correct tack or harnessing must be used on the horse for it to be considered. Bit less bridles are allowed, but please make sure I know it is one. Straight line horses are desired. The horse may be depicted in either a walk, trot or a lope, but NOT at a halt. The class will be judged on class rules. Spurs may be used, either ball point or star. The class can be entered bitless or with standard long handled shank bits. D-rings will not be accepted in this classe. Equines over the age of five are required to be one handed for western, those under (or being ridden English) may be rode two handed. Clothing and saddle blanket should match. For western, black or blue jeans are required, full chaps are optional. Felt cowboy hats are required. For English, standard show attire is required including boots, breeches. Coats are optional and can be either hunter green, scarlet, navy blue or black. Riding caps are also required for the class. As for driving, the same is required. Driving attire is mandatory.

Ribbon Race: This class requires more than one rider. In a team of two, riders must each hold on end of a ribbon and navigate through a path of poles and obstacles on horseback at whatever pace they desire. This is a collaboration image that each contestant must draw their horse and rider and then work together to get it into one image. Riders and horses may be of any tack style or clothing.

Show Jumping:  This class is that of a jumper. The horse must be picture jumping or getting ready to jump, maybe even landing. Correct attire must be worn for both horse and for the rider. Jumping saddles, ect. Spurs may be used. Bits (if used on horse) must not be harsh. If your horse is bitless, please let me know!
